Set of 52 cards + instruction sheet in tuckbox
The text on the first 47 cards comes from the peace prayers collected from the twelve major religions of the world by Peace Troubadour James Twyman. They can be used as a way to begin your day in prayer, or to focus throughout the day on peace. The instruction sheet in the pack suggests other possibilities, and you may well invent your own method. The cards can be used when on your own or within the context of a group, workshop or classroom discussion. The pack also includes three 'tone cards', as well as two blank cards for adding your own prayers.

The Praying Peace Cards
It is not ours to bring peace to where it is not, but to reveal peace where it is hidden.
from Emissary of Light by James F. Twyman
Welcome to the wonderful world of Praying Peace. When I wrote Emissary of Light in 1995, I had no way of realizing the revolution of prayer that was right around the corner. I have often said that most people are only waiting for a reason to pray together and change the world. Give them the opportunity and millions are sure to follow. I have seen this proven true over and over, and it leads me to believe that prayer is not only powerful, but is the most powerful force in the whole universe.
These cards are designed to make your own experience of Praying Peace even more meaningful. The peace prayers from the twelve major religions of the world have formed the very foundation of my ministry as the Peace Troubadour, and I have been honored to share them in a variety of different ways. This deck can be used as a way to begin your day in prayer, or to use throughout the day to focus on peace. You may even find powerful new ways to integrate them into your life. They are yours to explore and use however you choose.
This deck was designed to accompany Praying Peace, a book I wrote with the help of Gregg Braden and Doreen Virtue. What follows are two suggestions, two of the ways they have worked for me. There are 47 cards with excerpts from the twelve peace prayers. These prayers came from a conference that was held in Assisi, Italy, the home of St. Francis, in November, 1986. For the first time in history the leaders of the major religions of the world came together to Pray Peace, and they each offered the unique way they use prayer for this goal. These prayers form a peace grid that extends over the entire planet, linking people of every religion into a single prayerful intent.
There are also three Tone Cards. They are: Surrender, Trust and Gratitude, what the Emissaries of Light called, The Ultimate Spiritual Process.
Finally, there are two extra blank cards where you can add your own prayer of peace. Find a prayer that resonates with your own soul, and write them down.
Here are the two ways I use these cards:
1. Set the three Tone Cards aside and pick one. This will set the tone for your day. Let it enter your mind as often as possible and try to live the day from that state. Now pick five cards from the deck and lay them face down in front of you. This is your own personal peace prayer for the day. Turn them over and let them sink deep into your soul. Go back to them during the day whenever you need inspiration.
2. Pick one card whenever you need to focus on peace. Breathe that card deep into your lungs. Let the prayer become part of your day.
