A self-healing experience -- a CD with two meditations

Part 1: "Attunement" is intended as a self-healing and re-balancing meditation on the vibrations of colors and sounds associated with the energy centers known as chakras. Balancing these chakras is believed to have a beneficial effect on the particular parts of your body and consciousness each chakra represents. Superb musical accompaniment is by sitar master Roop Verma, who is also a master of Nada Yoga, the ancient Indian science of the effect of the vibrations of music on the human organism.

With part 2: "Love and Energy", you imagine yourself surrounded by those who you know love you, and you feel this love entering you for your healing, while you are experiencing the intense transcendent vibrations of Roop Verma's sitar.

The Chakras

Within the Hindu traditions, all that you can experience can be divided into seven categories, each of which represents a particular part of your consciousness. The chakras are energy centres associated with these parts of your consciousness, as well as specific parts of your physical body. Returning to your natural state of wholeness involves restoring harmony to the physical body and to the consciousness within, through the rebalancing of these energy centres. Music is energy, as is colour. Vibrations of music affect our moods, as do the vibrations of colour, and they therefore affect our state of consciousness. These concepts have been used for centuries in cultures around the world by those interested in the process of healing.
